A whole year has passed and a new one is coming. We welcome the Xin Mao Year of the Metal Rabbit. I wish that all the readers will be always be helped by the noble spirits whenever they need it and good health! I also wish prosperity and great advancement in their career and have all their wishes come true. The following are the current year Eight Pillars analysis for the readers reference:-
The Spring Equinox will fall on western calendar 4th of February, 2011 at 32 minutes past noon. The four pillars for the Spring equinox are: Xin Mao Year, Geng Yin month, Geng Yin Day and Ren Wu Hour.

The Lunar New Year will fall on the second day of the new Year of the Rabbit at noon. Spring Equinox day is Geng Metal day. It sits on Yin Wood Pin Tsai (Indirect Wealth ). The Monthly pillar is Yin Wood. This combines with the yearly pillar of Mao Wood to form a WOOD SETTING.
Thus there is a very strong wood presence. Furthermore, Yin Wood and hourly pillar Wu (Horse) Fire combine to form a SHA situation. Tsai (Wealth) follows Koon (Power) to neutralise the SHA setting. The current year seems to have strong fortunes but in fact the fortune is all hidden and cannot prosper. It also means that the strong fortune potential will weaken the self. So, the fortunes will just come and go.
It will just be a like a bubble. Although the monthly stem reveals Geng Metal it is not rooted because the monthly pillar does not support the day pillar. This will result in the monthly pillar actually adversely affecting the day pillar.
The Four Pillars of the Spring Equinox day show a Metal and Wood conflicting situation that spells chaos and disorder. The Four Pillars for this year's Spring Equinox have no YIN (Resource) to energise the self thus making the Four Pillars helpless by themselves. The Year of the Rabbit will be a year of hard work and a lot of troubles. The year has a strong Wood that hinders the Fire.
The Metal element reaches a desperate situation. The Four Pillars have a double Pillar condition which signifies a merciless setting. The water element is missing and the Metal and Wood elements are both heartless and have no sense of justice. The Ren Wu CHI SAN (Eating God) overpowers the SHA situation. Thus, some of the countries, organisations and administrations will show chaos and disorder. On Spring Equinox day, Geng Metal sits on PIN TSAI (indirect Wealth). CHI SHA (Seven Killings), PIN YAN (indirect Resource) are not rooted due to the presence of the Geng Metal. As mentioned above, fortunes will be hidden and cannot be energised. All year, month and day pillars are in conflict with the Wealth star. How can the year be prosperous under such adverse circumstances? The whole of Year of the Rabbit is not good for Direct Wealth or Indirect Wealth. All these Wealth can only come and go being incapable of having any retention. There are also numerous threats against the Wealth Stars. Furthermore the strong fortunes potentials pose a threat to health also. This being the case, investors must be very careful in order to avoid losses. They must treat all investment plans with great caution and should think twice before committing themselves. Some countries will adopt a protectionist attitude and refuse to help other less fortunate countries.
The monthly and daily pillars also sit on CHI SHA (Seven Killings) position. SHA (Killings/Power) means control. Therefore, many governments and political parties all over the world will fight over different issues. There will also be discontent and demonstrations among the people as well. TSAI and YIN follow KOON will neutralise SHA (Killings). All employees will still be under pressure from above. They will feel helpless and struggle to survive. The central Chinese government will exercise greater control over Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. More controversial laws will be legislated. The Year of the Rabbit is under a Metal conflicting Wood situation. China and western countries will still have fights over conflicting issues. The west led by USA, will try to interfere in the internal affairs of Asian countries like South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Philippines, Vietnam and use dirty little tricks on them. The Chinese hinterland will also see a lot of troubles during the year. Many countries will have a great deal of problems.
As there is a conflicting situation between the Metal and Wood elements during the year the situation is worsen by the occasion of SEVEN RED BROKEN ARMY entering the centre position. This is the sign of chaos and confrontation. People's feeling will run high. Tempers will flare. Thieves and criminals will be active during the year. Fights between countries will be frequent. This is especially true in the Asian region. If the various countries concerned do not restrain themselves, war may break out between them both in the economic and military arena. Some countries will tend to show their military might by conducting military exercises. During the year people in ill health will mainly suffer from respiratory type illnesses. Wood controls thoughts. This will lead to confused minds. A lot of metal illnesses will transpire among patients. As the Wood element is hurt by the Metal elements, liver disorder will also be frequent. Skin rashes and injuries to the arms and legs will be common during this year. Neck injuries, fibroids and flu will also be major problem in the year.
During the Year of the Rabbit both the Metal and Wood elements are injured. The metal business, traffic incidents including air traffic accidents will be frequent. Travellers are well advised to take out adequate travel insurance and to take particular care during their travels. Falling trees are likely and destruction of the natural forest could occur. Mechanical systems and devices are prone to malfunction. When the Wood element is chaotic control in matters will be lost easily. When the Wood element is too strong even the Wood element itself is damaged. Medical accidents and tragic incidents are likely to occur during the year. On the other hand, the current year is good for the food business, logistics, hotels and the banking/finance industry.
In businesses that belong to the Wood element such as newspapers, education, furniture, dyeing, garments, design and accounting will emphasise the situation where the weak are forced out while the strong will remain. There will be huge work pressure on employees in these businesses.
There should be good prospects for businesses such as transportation, freight and logistics, trading and tourism but equally there will be a lot of pressure on their operations. Only by careful planning in administration can operators make a profit during the year.
From FLYING STAR analysis perspective, in the XIN MAO Year of the Rabbit, the TAI SHUI and FIVE YELLOW Stars are over the eastern sector. Hence Japan, North & South Korea, Taiwan, Eastern China including Chinese cities like Shanghai and Kirin, will experience natural disasters such as earthquakes, confusion and fights. There will be a lot of conflict and confrontation between the countries in this region.
The current year is in a Metal and Wood conflict situation. The Western countries led by USA will interfere in the internal affairs in the Asian region this leading to trouble. Also, there will be a lot of strange illness and influenza and odd viruses occurring including disease of the liver and asthma.
For the Year of the Rabbit, the THREE KILLINGS (SHAN SHA Star) is in the West sector. Europe and USA will have crisis in their economic and financial arena. They will face great challenges ahead. The Wood element is chaotic in the year thus leading to loss of control. As the Wood element is too strong even the hard Metal element will be damaged. People will fight over money and forget about justice. USA will continue to decline economically. They will have internal conflicts. Differences in opinion will create economic chaos. The Japanese economy will be on a continuing slide. Japan will suffer economically. Also, natural disasters will occur in Japan and Taiwan.
The TWO BLACK SAR (ERR HAY) STAR is in the south sector. Therefore countries like Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Burma, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, India, Australia and New Zealand will see the occurrence of strange viruses and influenza. The elderly and women will contract more severe illnesses compared to previous years. Care should be taken to prevent fires breaking out in the south and west.
The EIGHT WHITE FORTUNE STAR (BA BAI DA TSAI) is in the North West sector. The eldest boy in the family will have good financial fortunes. Career and business opportunities will be abundant for them.
January, February and March under the lunar calendar will see conflicts arising all over the world in various countries and territories. Tendency toward violence is strong. Plane accidents and road traffic accidents will be frequent. Employees will be subjected to huge pressure from their bosses. Their emotions will be unstable and they will tend to be restless. It will be easy for them to get liver illnesses and respiratory diseases. Skin disorder will also be common. Property will still be the same major issue under discussion. Everyone will pay great attention to solving this problem. Countries like Japan, Taiwan and South East Asia could experience natural disasters. There will also be severe fluctuations in the world financial market.
April (fourth lunar month) see the situation of the Tsai ( FORTUNE ) Star, CHI SHA ( Seven Killings ) Star as well as the YI MA ( Travelling Horse ) all in conflict with one another. Stocks, shares and the finance market will experience great upheavals. Territorial conflicts, transport and air traffic disasters will occur. USA and other western countries could have natural and man made disasters.
May and June (fifth and sixth lunar months) will experience great financial fluctuations. The same applies to the stock market. Investors must be aware of this fact. Different countries and different political parties at different levels will have opposing opinions and argue over different issues. Employees will again be under great pressure this month. Places like Japan, Taiwan and East Asia will experience a lot of conflicts and struggles.
July (the seventh lunar month) is prone to air traffic accidents. Road traffic fatalities will be frequent. The stock market and financial arena will be subject to continued fluctuations. Investors must be careful in order to avoid losses. Different levels of government and political parties will clash over policies. It will be easy to get food poisoning in the month. This current month is not good or politics. Even governments may be changed in this month. The leader of North Korea will have severe health problems during this month.
August (eighth lunar month) is not good for investments. There will be financial disputes and law suits. Medical accidents and errors in surgical operations are likely.
September (ninth lunar month) provides a short break in the continuous bad fortunes during the ear. But still work pressure is mounting.
October (tenth lunar month) will still see conflict but to a lesser degree compared to the previous months. However, care must be taken to avoid respiratory diseases. The TAI SHUI STAR is tending toward cooperation. Thus, there will be some empathy around. Most difficulties will ease after a while.
November (eleventh lunar month) is the most stable of all the months in the year. Financial fortunes will be more abundant. There will also be less conflicts and fights during the month.
In December (twelfth lunar month), the west will adopt a changed diplomatic approach to China so that there could be improvements in international politics.
